Leprosy Patient Arrested for Trafficking Meth

Kalaupapa's youngest Hansen's disease patient Norbert K. Palea has been charged with attempting to smuggle crystal meth onto the island of Molokai from Honolulu while on a state-sponsored visit.

Palea, who arrived at Honolulu airport in a state car, paid $24 to ship a box to the island of Molokai where Kalaupapa is situated. According to the report, 18 grams of methamphetamine were found inside the box.

A new computer program that morphs digital images of kids' faces to show them the consequences of meth abuse is the brainchild of west coast county sheriff Tom Alman. According to Alman, the Face2Face program is designed to deter even first-time use by showing kids what their faces would look like after six months, a year and three years of using methamphetamines.

Srey Mao's story: The life of a mother in Phnom Penh

Srey Mao has been living in Phnom Penh since the age of 19 when she came from her mother’s house in the Cambodian Province of Svay Reang. Her father left the family when she was just four years old, forcing her mother to support them by herself. One year after coming to Phnom Penh, Srey Mao got married. Two years later she gave birth to a baby girl. Two years after that she began using heroin.
